About LSA Newsletters

LSA produces three issues per year of the LSA Newsletter, circulated with enclosures in March, July and November. [The Newsletter format is A3 folded to A4, centre stapled.]

LSA Individual Members receive 1 copy per issue (and enclosures); LSA Corporate Members receive 2 copies per issue (and enclosures). Annual LSA Membership, which may begin at any time during the year, will always include three issues of the LSA Newsletter.

The newsletter strives to reflect in each issue the broad range of interests of LSA members.

All Members are invited to submit reports, announcements of events and book reviews.

David Leslie (Glasgow Caledonian University <D.Leslie@gcal.ac.uk>) is General Editor of the LSA Newsletter.

Guest Editors also contribute to the production of each issue by providing or organising features on specially focused themes.

  • feature articles --- some produced especially for the issue by invitation from the issue editor/s -- and some reproduced by permission from external sources
  • sneak preview chapters from recent and forthcoming LSA Publications volumes
  • conference reports
  • book reviews
  • LSA Membership Directory ~~ contact addresses (postal and e-mail) for Members of the Association, UK and around the world

The LSA Newsletter publishes the dissertations of the annual winners of the Associations Undergraduate and Postgraduate Dissertation Prizes   As a service to Members, the Newsletter also circulates loose enclosures such as book announcements and conference response forms which have been provided by Members. Non members may enquire about newsletter enclosures at a small fee based on the weight of the enclosure.
