The concept of social capital has been widely debated within both academic and policy circles and holds a particular appeal and relevance to leisure researchers.

This seminar aims to bring together researchers from across the social sciences with an interest in the debates around social capital and leisure.


Questions for debate include:

How (and can) leisure contribute towards social capital?

What forms of social capital can leisure contribute towards?

What methodological issues surround the measurement of social capital?
